The Capri Carrier is an over-the-shoulder, carry assist carrier designed to hold infants and toddlers weighing 15 - 40 lbs (6.8 - 18.2 kg). It features a roomy padded pouch, a padded shoulder strap, both with quilted detailing, and 2 adjustable buckle straps.

Several safety reinforcement stitches have been thoughtfully included in the instructions, along with durable material recommendations, to ensure strength and longevity.

This pattern is a great fit for a budding INTERMEDIATE sewist — someone ready to build precision and confidence while sewing through thicker layers and structured details in a functional, technical project.

SIZING
Main pouch: 28” x 19“ curve (71.1 cm x 48.2 cm curve)
Shoulder strap (fabric only): 12 1/2” x 5“ wide (33 cm x 13 cm wide); Customizable length at the fold line
Circumference: 44” - 60” (112 cm - 152.4 cm) This does not include 12” (30 cm) of suggested slack for donning. Then tighten.

MATERIALS NEEDED
Main - 1/2 yd (1/2 m)
Lining - 1/2 yd (1/2 m)
Batting - 1/2 yd (1/2 m)
Fusible Interfacing - 1 yd (1 m) (Optional for lightweight fabric or for stretchy, fraying curved edges)*

Woven, soft, organic, non-stretch fabrics are ideal for this project. Comfort and durability is key for the kiddos! Having a different fabric and/or color for the lining than the main/outer fabric will help orient the carrier when donning.
