Perfect scrap project! Have fun mixing and matching your scraps to make a fun banner for your next party or add decor to a room.
Sans serif, block letters and rectangle flags in 2 sizes; large wall banner and small intended as a high chair banner for birthdays.
Low to no-stretch fabrics are best for the front and back flag pieces, but woven fabrics can me used for the letters since you’ll need to iron on fusible interfacing already and it’ll help stabilize the fabric.
Yardage depends on what variety you plan to use for your flags and letters. If you’re using the same fabric for the all front and all back flag pieces, 1/2 yard (1/2 meter) of a 42” bolt yields 8 flags.
1" grosgrain ribbon or 1/2" double folded bias tape
SIZE A - 1 finished flag is 4 1/2” x 7 1/4“ (11.5 cm x 18.5 cm)
SIZE B - 1 finished flag is 3” x 5 1/4“ (7.5 cm x 13.25 cm)
